If you place more than one order on any given day, HK will consolidate your orders and adjust your shipping charges accordingly. You do not need to email or call us - we'll make sure you're billed only for the items and combined shipping cost.

For purposes of ordering, Human Kinetics refers to NTSC as "VHS", and to PAL as "PAL". Once you have determined which standard your country uses, use the appropriate three-letter designation when placing your order.

There are two main formats of videos available from Human Kinetics today — VHS-NTSC and VHS-PAL. NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) is the format that is used mainly in the Americas, Japan and other countries. PAL (Phase Alternation Lines) is the format suited for VHS players in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe, and many other countries. The formats differ mainly in the number of horizontal lines scanned to form the video image. Countries where NTSC format is used will be unable to play PAL format videos without special equipment and vice versa. Please be sure you are selecting the appropriate format for your country.

Human Kinetics DVDs can be played in any region of the world, so unlike videos there's no need to choose a specific format. The DVDs advertised on this website will work within your DVD player.

On the web site, we attempt to estimate as accurately as possible the state and local US sales taxes your order is subject to. The actual amount charged to your credit card may differ, however, from the sales tax figure shown online if you live in certain states or municipalities. For example, South Dakota residents are charged both a state sales tax and a local sales tax that varies by municipality. Your actual sales tax due is calculated when your order is shipped and thus may not be reflected in your shopping cart total.

The amount of tax charged depends upon the destination of the shipment. If an item is subject to sales tax in the state to which the order is shipped, tax is generally calculated on the total selling price of each individual item, in accordance with state tax laws. For example:

• Illinois residents are charged 7.5% sales tax on most items with certain exceptions.
• South Dakota residents are charged a 4% sales tax on most items with certain exceptions, plus an additional municipality tax that varies by individual municipality.

The tax rate applied to your order will generally be the combined state and local rate for the address where your order was shipped. Therefore, the sales tax rate applied to your order may be different for an order shipped to your home address than it is for an order for the very same items shipped to your work address.

The currency of your order is associated with the country of your shipping address and with which HK office will process and ship your order. We allow people to choose different currencies so that you always know exactly how much you'll be paying -- your prices won't differ depending upon the exchange rate -- and so the HK office nearest you can process your order. Because the closest HK office and warehouse fulfill your order, you'll receive your products faster, and you may pay a lower shipping cost.

• If you're having a product shipped to an address in the United States, you should choose "US" for your region, and your currency will automatically be US dollars.
• If you're having a product shipped to an address in the United Kingdom, choose "UK" for your region, and your prices will display in £.
• If you're having a product shipped to France or another country outside of the UK but still served by our European office, you should choose "Europe" for your region, and your prices will display in £.
• If you're living in Australia, you should choose "Australia" for your region, and your currency will be Australian dollars.
• If you're living in New Zealand, you should choose "New Zealand" for your region, and your currency will be New Zealand dollars.
• If you live outside of the US, the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, choose "Other" for your region. Your prices will be in US dollars.

When you submit your order, our site will automatically figure out which currency you should use and route your order to the HK office that serves people in your shipping region.
