Human Kinetics Return Policy

Policy for Individual/Personal Returns

  • If you're not completely satisfied with your prepaid purchase, return it within 30 days of the date of receipt of your shipment.


  • Human Kinetics will refund full credit (excluding shipping/handling) if your invoice information is supplied. Credit will then be applied to the appropriate credit card or a check can be issued. An account credit will be issued for items purchased on open account.


  • All return shipments must be sent via UPS to 1607 North Market St., Champaign, IL 61820-2200.


  • Credit cannot be given for software or CD-ROMS that have been opened.


  • Credit will not be issued for opened videos.


Policy for Bookstore/Tradebook Returns (Overstock)

  • Permission is not necessary, but please include a copy of your invoice with your returns.


  • Ship returns to: 1607 N. Market St., Champaign, IL 61820-2200.


  • Eligibility period is not before 3 months or after 12 months from the date of invoice.


  • Human Kinetics will refund full credit (excluding shipping/handling) if invoice information is supplied. If invoice information is not supplied, credit will be issued according to the current Human Kinetics discount schedule and policy. If returned books are not in resaleable condition, credit will not be given. Credit balances may be used about future purchases only. Refunds will be issued for accounts that have been inactive for at least one year.


  • Customer received damaged books must be reported and submitted within 2 weeks of receipt of your shipment. The nature of the damage/defect must be noted on the return packing slip.
